Wavelengthmeters
HighFinesse/Ångstrom offers sensitive and compact wavelength meters with a large spectral range for high speed measurement of
lasers. The optical unit consists of temperature-controlled interferometers that are read out by photodiode arrays. The
high absolute accuracy is achieved by use of solid state, non-moving optics.
Some of the main benefits and properties of our wavelengthmeters are...
Standard: 350 – 1120 nm
UV: 248 – 1100 nm
UV-II: 192 – 800 nm
IR: 630 – 1750 nm
IR-II: 1000 – 2250 nm
ultra sensitive: < 10 nJ @ 500 nm
high-speed measurement: up to 500 Hz

The optical unit and associated electronics are housed in a compact, thermal casing. The connection to a computer or notebook
is realized via a highspeed USB 2.0 port, which allows a high data read-out rate. The analyzing software displays
all the interferometer information and is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Standard features of the basic wavelength meters
are:
Measurement of wavelength, frequency & co.:
The measurement is displayed on the computer via the supplied user-friendly software. Installation and setup is straight
forward. The displayed result may be switched between wavelength, frequency, wavenumber or -energy to suit the test requirements. The
displayed interferometer pattern provides information regarding the spectral profile of pulsed or continuous wave laser sources.
Long-term measurement:
This application records all measurement results and displays it graphically along with calculating the mean, max. and min., as well as standard deviation.
Many long-term windows can be open simultaneously to display all available information of up to 8 laser sources (multichannel option).
Record- and Replay Mode:
This operation mode records all interferometer data and allows for a subsequent play-back.
Average:
Two different arithmetic averaging techniques may be applied on 0 to 999 measurement points.
Data-Control:
An easy access API provides a fast interface to all functionalities for controlling the WLM and accessing its data. Source code for sample programs is included.
